Short Biography

David Teten (teten.com) is a Partner with ff Venture Capital (ffvc.com), one of the best performing seed- and early-stage venture capital firms in the U.S.  ffVC has made investments in over 80 technology companies since 2008.  David has advised clients such as Goldman Sachs Special Situations Group, Icahn Enterprises, LLR Partners ($1.4b fund), Birch Hill Equity Partners (C$2B fund), and other institutional investors.  He served or serves on the boards of Ionic Security, Whisk (sold to Deem), Authorea, and Earnest Research.   He previously was a serial entrepreneur.

David Teten (teten.com) is a Partner with ff Venture Capital (ffvc.com), one of the best performing seed- and early-stage venture capital firms in the U.S.  ffVC has made investments in over 80 companies since 2008.  David has advised clients such as Goldman Sachs Special Situations Group, Icahn Enterprises, LLR Partners ($1.4b fund), Birch Hill Equity Partners (C$2B fund), and other institutional investors. He served or serves on the boards of Ionic, Whisk (sold to Deem), Earnest Research, and Authorea.

David was formerly Founder of Navon Partners, a software startup which identified private companies for investment using public data sources.  He was previously a Managing Director with Evalueserve, a 2,500-person global research and analytics company, and Founder and CEO of Circle of Experts, an investment research firm acquired by Evalueserve.

David led or co-led the first studies on disruption of the investing industry; private equity and venture capital deal origination; and how VCs create portfolio company value.  He is also Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Harvard Business School Alumni Angels of Greater New York, the largest angel network on the East Coast.  He holds a Harvard MBA and Yale BA.
