Are you looking for help in strategy, technology, finance, or specifically in raising capital?
What I can do:
- Overall strategy. I particularly work with emerging investment managers.
- Syllabus for how to launch, manage, and invest a VC fund
- Microcredentials for the Effective Venture Capital or Private Equity Investor (including VC associations to join, accelerators for emerging VCs)
- VCs eating their own dog food: Using technology and analytics to make better investments in private companies
- Limited partner checklist for evaluating funds
- Fund placement strategy. See:

- Deck and data room review. We will sit down to go through your existing deck, resumes, FAQs, and other fundraising materials and dramatically upgrade it: story, format, metrics, benchmarks, budget. This often leads to a discussion around overall strategy, depending on how developed your business is. I recommend budget a minimum of 2 hours for an initial meeting and at least one followup. It’s most efficient if you review my checklists before we meet.
- Financial modeling and valuation.
- Fundraising strategy.
- Coaching. I can join meetings or calls and give you frank feedback on how to be more effective.
Rate: $500/hour up front. Note I use a different economic structure for a) public speaking and b) for reaching out to my investor network.
