I participated in the Milken Institute Global Conference last week, for the first time. It was very worthwhile, a chance to connect primarily with other investors (mostly public markets/private equity), and a range of other people (media, tech, academics, etc.) I definitely recommend attending if you have the chance.
I spoke on a panel about Disruptive Financial Technology. You can read a summary on Currency of Ideas, and I’ve attached the video below. The other speakers were:
Doug Atkin, Senior Managing Director, Venture Investments, Guggenheim Partners
Arjuna Costa, Investment Partner, Omidyar Networks
Dave McClure, Founding Partner, 500 Startups
Laura Roden, Founder, Capital Formation Consultants; Board Member, Heritage Bank of Commerce
Moderator: John Carney, Wall Street Columnist, “Heard on the Street,” Wall Street Journal
