David 2003

Executive Summary: I am looking for someone with whom I will fall in love.

+ Corporate history

Born 1970.  General Education: Harvard MBA 1998, Yale BA 1992 Economics + Psychology.  Jewish education: Machon Meir Hebrew-language program 8 months (3/4-time), Aish HaTorah 13 months (3/4-time), Ohr Somayach 3 months.  Never married.

Currently Managing Director of Nitron Advisors, a strategy consultancy and investment bank.  Formerly founder and CEO of GoldNames, a 50-person boutique internet investment bank, based in Jerusalem.  I have also at different times run groups or companies selling computer consulting, advertising, and apparel.  I have also worked as an investment banker and strategy consultant with several large firms.

+ Physical facilities: plant, property, equipment, and associated depreciation and amortization

Athletic: Vegetarian, non-smoker, very light drinker.  Sports: weightlifting, jogging, biking, golf, tennis, yoga.  Black hair, brown eyes.  Triple citizen: USA, Israel, and France.  Blood type: A+.  Height: 5’5”.  Athletic build.  Languages: Hebrew, French, and very rusty Portuguese.  I recently moved to Manhattan, after living for three years in Israel.

I love: my parents, my nieces and nephew, and my sister.

I like: playing with my wonderful nieces and nephew (ages 1-5), learning new subjects, spending time with people from whom I can learn, public speaking, teaching, writing, politics, analysis, checking off items on my to-do list, speaking foreign languages.

+ The Company was spun off from the parent companies in 1970, 32 years ago.

My father Jean was born in Paris, and my mother Carol was born in Chicago.  Both parents have been happily married (to each other) for 35 years.  My mother taught dance for about 5 years at the Hebrew University in Israel before she met my father in the USA.  I have one sister in Jerusalem who recently had her fifth child in her sixth year of marriage.

+ For this Initial Public Offering, the investment bank is targeting a special retail investor.

Ideally, my future wife is superior to me in every respect.  Fortunately, this is not difficult to do.

The only question is: will such a woman spend time with me?  (And why?)

Most important to me, I am looking for someone warm, well-educated in Jewish subjects, well-educated in secular subjects, modest, an overachiever, athletic, who aspires to be a moral person[2].  Probably very open-minded and well-read intellectually, but very conservative in her personal values.  I particularly like intellectuals and academics.

She views the principles of modesty as a contribution to her dignity.  She strives to avoid gossip, materialism, vulgarity, materialism, and inappropriate behavior.  And she can leap tall buildings at a single bound.

My ego is sturdy enough to accommodate a woman who is taller, better-educated, and/or has a better bench press than I.  The children will benefit from the mixing of genes.  However, she must be no taller than 7’1”, as I wish to avoid neck-strain.  (I notice that many people assume that I don’t date women taller than me, but I assure you that I am indifferent if my wife is my height, taller, or shorter.)

+ The Company plans to expand rapidly and establish numerous subsidiaries.

I want the type of marriage that our children will aspire to emulate, one based on synergistic teamwork, a parenting model that lets every child bloom, patience, compromise, mutual respect, mutual hugs, mutual love, and Mutual of Omaha.

I hope to have as many children as we feel we can handle, and as we are fortunate enough to produce.  Definitely no more than thirty-two children.

(Of course, since I’ve never raised any children at all, I admit that I don’t yet comprehend how much work raising children can be.  I have heard that pregnancy is hard work for the husband.)

I favor a strong and broad education for our (hopefully) future children.  Where they will be educated after high school is something the parents and each individual child will have to discuss; I think it is dependent on the educational options then available and on the child’s own capabilities and needs.

+ As soon as the Initial Public Offering is completed, the Company will move to new corporate headquarters.

In our future home, I very strongly prefer to have no TV and few movies, in order to protect the children, as well as the parents, from unproductive and unhealthy influences.  A well-stocked library, with books by Hashem, Rambam, Pliskin, Wagschal, Uri Zohar, Aviva Zornberg, Yeshayahu Leibowitz, Norman Lamm, Halivni, C.S. Lewis, Kierkegaard, Covey, Dickens, Cialdini, Spinoza, Marx, Voltaire, Slywotzky, Huxley, Sherwin Wine, etc. (books listed in roughly descending order of religiosity).

+ The Company believes that “the law of the land is the law”, and that it has obligations to the community.

I do not particularly enjoy observing speed limits, but observe them because the state in which I live cannot exist without traffic regulations.  I do not particularly enjoy paying taxes, but pay them because the state in which I live cannot exist without taxes.  I do not particularly relish the possibility of serving in the army, but no country can exist without an army.  I am supportive of male children (including myself) serving in the army of the country of our residence, if the need presents itself.

+ The Company is committed to Continuous Quality Improvement.

I learn Jewish texts and read other books on a regular basis in order to continue growing.

+ The Company has a policy of holding corporate retreats every seven days.

At our future home, I hope to have many guests of diverse backgrounds.  Good food.  Gebrochts[3] year-round.

+ Strong community relations.

+ The Company is an equal opportunity employer, and does not discriminate, in matters of hiring or promotion, on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, military service eligibility, veteran status, sexual orientation, financial status, marital status, or disability.

I agree with Alice Shalvi of the Israel Women’s Network (an influential Israeli feminist) that boys (and girls) learn better if separated from the opposite sex.

Some of the statements contained in this document discuss future expectations and strategies, or state other “forward-looking” information.  Those statements are subject to known and unknown risks, uncertainties, and other factors that could cause the actual results to differ materially from those contemplated by the statements.  The forward-looking information is based on various factors and was derived using numerous assumptions.  We undertake no obligation to publicly update or revise any forward-looking statements.

+ Risk Factors

Results may fluctuate quarterly.  We have limited protection of our intellectual property, and others could infringe on or misappropriate our proprietary rights.  We depend on our executives and key employees; we need to attract and retain key personnel.  We face significant competition.  There are substantial restrictions on the resale and transfer of the Shares.  Viruses, break-ins, and other security breaches could cause interruptions, delays or a cessation of the services we provide to our customers.  The Company believes that it has successfully addressed all problems related to the “Year 2000 Bug” and has no outstanding exposure to asbestos litigation.

Any babies outputted may not be as cute as those pictured in Michelin advertisements.  Our children are unlikely to be eligible for the NBA draft.
